The Samworth Brothers Sports Opportunity Fund is supporting junior tennis in Melton Mowbray with an £8,000 award to help fund a new club house facility at Melton Mowbray Tennis Club.  Over fifty junior and senior club members recently celebrated the official opening of the new club house joining in a one-hour session of on-court fun coaching, followed by the official ribbon cutting.

The new Chairman of Melton Mowbray Tennis Club, Justin Horobin, thanked the Sports Opportunity Fund and the many other individuals and local companies that had contributed to the project, with donations of cash and materials, and volunteer help.

The Samworth Brothers Sports Opportunity Fund supports deserving community sports projects for young people close to Samworth Brothers’ locations. The Fund was launched in October 2013 and it has given or pledged awards totalling over £1.9 million to date benefiting more than 70 clubs and organisations.
