Samworth Brothers supports the East Midlands Food Festival
Are you a ‘foodie’? The place to be this weekend (October 5th & 6th) is the East Midlands Food Festival in Melton Mowbray. Now in its 16th year, the event is rated as one of the UK’s most interesting food festivals. Samworth Brothers is proud to be the event main sponsor and this year more than 200 stands will be showcasing the best food and drink from around the East Midlands. There will be live demonstrations from celebrity chefs in the Food Theatre, plus the regular Street Food Zone and lots of other entertainment and activities for children and families.
Among those featuring in the live demonstrations will be Stephen Hallam from Melton Mowbray’s famous Dickinson & Morris Ye Olde Pork Pie Shoppe. Stephen will be explaining the history and heritage of the Melton Mowbray Pork Pie and providing some ‘Pie-Raising’ demonstrations.
